DRAWING MY LIFE: THE GOD OF PHOTOSHOP

This is based on a conversation I had with my eldest son TJ. I was admiring the sunset one afternoon and remarked that God probably knows how to Photoshop, seeing that He painted such awesome pictures. I wondered aloud what version God probably uses and TJ quickly chimed in: "The GOD Edition,of course!"

DRAWING MY LIFE: A WRONG SENSE OF VALUABLES

I was killing time at Coffee bean and Tea Leaf when I saw the sign: PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VALUABLES UNATTENDED then inspiration struck. This could really happen to parents with a wrong sense of what is "valuable."

DRAWING MY LIFE: SELF-PORTRAIT AS VAN GOGH WITH A BAND-AIDed EAR

I spoofed the famous Van Gogh's Self-Portrait with a Bandaged Ear, with me as a melancholy-looking Vincent with a Band-Aid covering my ear. You wouldn't look happy really if you had such a humongous sticky covering your ear, would you? I found out first hand that Van Gogh's style may look simple but it's not...even with Photoshop.

DRAWING MY LIFE: BIKING FUN

After more than a week's layoff I finally have the time again to do my drawing a day. The Queen's "Bicycle Races" served as the inspiration for this cartoon. I'm sure biking would really be fun if one had biking buddies such as these.

DRAWING MY LIFE:SOMETHING FISHY

Had delicious fried TILAPIA the other night which had this nice crisp, colored look so I had to draw it. Borrowed a famous line from Laurel and Hardy to show what must be going on inside the "minds" of every fish that makes its way to our dinner plates.

DRAWING MY LIFE:ORANGE YOU GONNA DO SOMETHING?

What started out as a drawing of a plate of oranges I had for breakfast and the Orange Marmalade bottle beside it turned out into something funny. I saw something humorous about natural fruits side by side with their processed kin.

DRAWING MY LIFE:JACK'S EPIC BIKE RIDE

Comic strip based on Jack Narciso's exploits... biking up to Baguio City from (La Union?). Took him all of 5 hours...and lost of sweat, I guess. So if he sweat that much he must be so much thinner when he reaches the top!

DRAWING MY LIFE:HEAVENLY DECISIONS

Why is God the Father always portrayed as an old man with graying hair? Must be because of the problems and the things we pray for. This is how it must be at His end. :)

DRAWING MY LIFE:STILL LIFE OF WINE AND CHEESE WITH A YELLOW BULLDOZER

the idea was just to put an unlikely pairing in a drawing. here is elegance and brute strength in one picture.

DRAWING MY LIFE:ONE FOR THE DOGS

A sketch of my elder sister Alen with her Shih Tzus: Chuck,Ganda and Poknat. The dogs are really cute as cute-ness goes but I gave this drawing a twist. These are poker-faced dogs after all!
